Buffalo Bore loads their ammunition (Buffalo Bore Ammunition Company) up to maximum SAAMI specifications, which delivers devastating performance on a wide range of game. Please note that this ammunition not intended for older guns. It made for modern firearms only, as some of the ammunition could damage older and weaker firearms. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

This bullet designed to expand radically at intended impact velocities into living mammalian tissues. Expect a mushroom of about .85 caliber and penetration of around 18-24 inches depending on which bones struck.  As such, it has nearly the same case head (.006 smaller in diameter) as the 500 S&W. With its slightly smaller case head, it will fit the tight ratchet system of the Freedom Arms model 83 and will still work great in any 500 S&W firearm.
